Is the finish on the chopping boards food safe?
Yes, all our boards are finished with 100% food-safe mineral oil and / or natural beeswax.
How thick are the charcuterie boards?
Our standard charcuterie boards are crafted to a sturdy 20 mm thickness to prevent warping.
Are your chopping boards dishwasher safe?
No, our handcrafted timber boards should never be put in the dishwasher or submerged in water. Heat and prolonged water exposure will damage fine timber. We recommend hand-washing with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge, then wiping away excess moisture and letting the board air-dry standing upright.
How often should I oil or wax my wooden board?
To preserve the deep luster of the timber and maintain a resilient, water-resistant barrier, we recommend treating your board every 3 to 4 weeks depending on how often you use it.
What should I use to seal my wooden board?
You can hydrate the timber with pure, food-safe mineral oil, which penetrates deep into the wood fibers. You can also seal it with our custom Board Butter, hand-blended in Kildare using pure Irish beeswax from Dingle and premium oils. Using both will give you the best results.
"Where are your chopping boards and charcuterie boards made?
All of our small-batch chopping and charcuterie boards are handcrafted in our workshop in the Co. Kildare countryside, Ireland. Each piece embraces the raw, rustic character of the timber, making every board an exclusive, one-of-a-kind original.
