For everyday preparation, choose a board with enough space for your ingredients while leaving room on your worktop. A larger butcher block provides a substantial preparation surface; a smaller board is easier to lift and store.

Are all these boards handmade in Ireland?

Our Moat & Grain boards are handmade in our workshop outside Athy, Co. Kildare. Black Castle & Hare is our carefully selected range. Each product page identifies the range and provides details about the individual board.

How do I clean and maintain my board?

Hand-wash with mild soapy water, dry promptly and leave upright to finish drying. Do not soak your board or put it in the dishwasher. Apply food-safe board oil or butter when the wood looks dry, following the care instructions supplied.

What does delivery cost?

Tracked delivery across Ireland’s 32 counties is €3.99 for standard parcels under 5kg. Heavier or bulky orders cost more. Your final delivery charge is shown at checkout, and standard delivery typically takes 3–5 working days.
